Olympic Parc and Olympic Hill

Created for the 1972 Summer Olympics, the Olympic Park in Munich recently celebrated its 50th anniversary. The whole area is quite popular with locals: Concerts, open-air cinema, Christmas markets and many opportunities for all kinds of athletic activities make it a great place to be any time of the year.

This route gives you a great overview over the Olympic Park in Munich. It combines a nice scenic walk up a small hill and a good view over the Olympiasee, but you can also enjoy some of the cultural highlights of Munich: the Olympic Stadium and the Olympic Hall, the BMW Welt and BMW Museum - a must-see for everyone who is interested in cars and mobility - as well as the Olympic Tower. 

You will also pass the monument to the 1972 Olympic assassination that remembers a dark time of the Olympic history in Munich.
